    Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeees Wiiiiiiiiiiiiin!!!

I’ve been waiting for this for the last 5 years! Basically ever since I started watching baseball 🙂 I am so happy! I have recorded so that I can watch it over and over again 😀

I’m glad the moves made in the offseason paid off really well. And thhe way A-rod redeemed himself in the postseason is really remarkable! But to me, we outpitched the Phillies. Andy was realy amazing on 3 days rest. I’m so happy I’m not even sure what I’m typing 🙂

CONGRATULATIONS! Always feels good when your team wins. Was it a final game or something? Sorry to be so ignorant!

    • lisamichele says:

Trissa – It was game 6 of the World Series..a 7 game series in which you play to the best of 7..the last two teams left from a 162 game season and the playoffs, from two leagues. In other words, the Yankees are now the champions of baseball for a year, until next October-November when they can defend their title, if they can make it to the World Series again 🙂 Not ignorant at all!

      • trissalicious says:

Okay keeping my fingers crossed they make it AND also THANK YOU for the tip on the camera shop!!

Congratulations you deserve to be happy. I’ll go hide for a year now lol

  5. My husband and I got in a heated debate last night when I said that I was glad the Dodgers didn’t make it to the World Series because they would have had their butts handed to them by ARod and Mariano Rivera. He was so mad at me. He might be the Dodgers biggest advocate. But I know I am right. The Yankees blazed through the last few weeks and proved that it isn’t a mistake that they won.

    • lisamichele says:

AND we did it with mediocre hitting and the last two games, tired pitching! Not sure how we would have done against the Dodgers, but I have a feeling we would have won in 7..or maybe 6..lol

  6. Rosa says:

    Congrats! i’m happy for you.

    Cheers,

    Rosa

Ahahaha, love this. I always enjoy getting a little dose of something other than food on food blogs. 😉
For the macathon, I guess it has been christened mactweets: http://mactweets.blogspot.com/
Thank you for your very sweet comment btw.

  8. Scott says:

Hi there, those pictures are AWESOME, Lis! Just read through all the comments and hope you make it to the parade tomorrow!

    *HUGS*

  9. Hahahahahaha!! I totally expected this from you. I thought for sure you’d be baking cupcakes in the likenesses of the players or something, though. 😉

I was going to (finally) make the macarons last night during the game to calm my nerves. I cleaned the floors instead — the floors were closer to the TV than my oven. I actually think I’ll make them this weekend, albeit a week late. Whatever. The Lazy Baker. 😉 Yours look totally terrific.

I was so happy I cried while watching the celebration last night! Woo hoo … Number 27 is mighty sweet indeed!! 🙂

  11. Arlette says:

Hey Mabrouk Mabrouk (Congratulation) to you and to your Team…

I watch half of the game and then got busy with a long distance phone.

  12. Haha… well I guess congratulations are in order!

  13. Sorry, can’t share your enthusiasm! 😉

  14. Congrats! Was a fun game to watch!

  15. Laura says:

Yeah!! My husband was able to go to the parade in 2000; this year we are watching on TV. What about you, Lisa?

  16. Pat says:

    Hi Lisa!

We were over the moon when the Yankees won in their beautiful new home! What a wonderful team and it was so good to see how well they worked together and praised their management and fans!

My husband works in lower Manhattan so he took the camera in to take photos of the parade for me. I am home hobbling on a sore foot I hurt walking in the park ;-(

I am absolutely drooling over the macaroons you made! What wonderful colors and flavors! You, my dear, deserve a cookbook — everything you make is always above the rest both in style and variety.

I have been a lazy DB lately…I must get back on track.

What will we do now with out baseball all winter? Dream about Spring training and World Series # 28! :-))

    Hugs, Pat
